Andriy Khalpakhchi!

Andriy Khalpakhchi is a permanent head of the Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival, a person who is directly related to numerous Ukrainian film events, and, of course, one of the most authoritative connoisseurs of cinematographic art.


Pieter-Jan de Pue

The Belgian photographer and director Pieter-Jan de Pue will also join the #KISFF2016 international jury team. His first documentary film "The Land of the Enlightened", which has been shot during 5 years in Afghanistan, won a World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Best Cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016. The director noted that during the filming Taliban members carried out an attack on the team.

Photos made by Piter in Afghanistan were published in Weekend Knack, Le Monde, and De Standaard and also exhibited in Belgian and French galleries.


Réka Bucsi

Réka Bucsi is a Hungarian independent animation filmmaker. Her graduation film "Symphony №42" participated at the Berlinale and Sundance Film Festival. It was awarded the Best Film of the Festival and Audience Award at KISFF in 2014. Furthermore, Bucsi's film LOVE was recently screened in Kyiv within the Aaanimation Madness program and also participated at the SXSW Music and Film Festival Austin, TX and Berlinale.


Bohdana Smyrnova

She started her filmmaking career when in Kyiv when she was 17 years old. In 2005, she moved to New-York and joined the graduate film program at New-York University. Her films have been screened at numerous festivals such as Rotterdam, Clermont-Ferrand, Taipei Golden Horse, and Slamdance, garnering over 2 dozens awards.





Christopher Ward

Christopher is a London based composer, orchestrator and multi-instrumentalist. He studied classical spanish guitar with renowned guitarist Gary Ryan at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and now studies piano with Greg Jardine. As a guitarist, Christopher has performed extensively, most notably Vivaldi’s Guitar Concerto in D with the Harlow Symphony Orchestra and at the Classical Guitar Festival of Great Britain. Alongside work as a guitarist Christopher has developed his passion for classical music and composition writing for art-house, contemporary dance and short-film projects. He is excited to be attending the festival to share his experience of composing for film.


Dmytro Tiazhlov

Dmytro Tiazhlov graduated from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University. He is a coordinator of the workshop for young documentary filmmakers "Indie Lab" and of the documentary program of the AIFF.
Dmytro Tiazhlov's films "Highnoon Winti" and "Live Power" were screened at the INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL Docudays UA.


mateusz nedza

Mateusz Nedza is a young polish theatre and film actor. He graduated from The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, where he was a student of the famous actor Krzysztof Majchrzak.
